Offers a here-and-now methodology to engage and collaborate with our inner parts in order to shift from internal resistance to harmony.
When was the last time you thought, “a part of me wants to stay in but a part of me wants to go out”, or something along those lines? We are all made up of internal parts that compete for our attention. Sometimes we feel torn or sometimes one of them will take over. This is perfectly natural but some parts sometimes become overly enthusiastic in how they protect us and so the aim is to work with our parts so as to collaborate better with them rather than fight them.
Based on some of Carl Jung’s original work, this approach was developed by Richard Schwartz and is a powerful way of working with our parts now rather than just unpacking what’s triggered us. It’s both somatic and practical and is a powerful way to work in the present so allowing for a more grounded future.
